GET THE RUBRIC

MIND RUBRICS
Dry to understand following mind rubrics apparently looks similar :
-Frivolous
-Heedless
-Danger - no sense of, has
To understand the clinical utility of above rubrics one has to understand the  " Situation ' and the " Reaction " beyond the word meaning of rubrics. In some particular situations mind dispositions like frivolous ,heedless , and no sense of danger can be observed and interpreted.
First let us know the meaning of these rubrics :
Frivolous   ( छिचोर, गांभीर्य नसलेला, उथला,ओछा ) : -
not having any serious purpose or value.
Not serious in content, attitude or behavior
(of a person) carefree and superficial.
of little weight or importance.
Heedless :- ( बेपरवाह , बेफिकर )
not giving attention to a risk or possible difficulty:
showing a reckless lack of care or attention.
Danger, no sense of :-
Danger :- the possibility of suffering harm or injury.
Sense :- perceive by a sense or senses.
Now let us discusssed one by one with examples :
When we say some one is frivolous ?
Frivolous : -
not having any serious purpose or value.
(of a person) carefree and superficial.
of little weight or importance.
Not serious, light, superficial, less important these are key words which describe the frivolous.
Situation - Where there is some intention or purpose to do something and the person is not serious about that intention or purpose of act, 'JUST DOING ' is the feel by person. Person have not that much deep thought about the act. He is light and superficial in his act without giving much importance to the intention of act.
Examples1 :
Situation -  Before examination.
Reaction - He did study for some time then as usual he saw TV programme. His friends studying hard to compete the revision of study of tomorrow's exam paper but he read just some points from book.  Then he enjoyed gossiping with friends. Some minutes just before exam he searched where he put exam hall ticket, writing pad etc. Not planned about how to go to exam hall so called to friend on phone to ask "How are you going to exam hall ? If going on bike please receive me while going to exam."
Just before entering the exam hall he remembered that he has no pen then he went to nearby shop to purchase the pen. He entered in exam hall ten minuted late.
Example 2.
Situation - Sick .
Reaction :-  He was asked to visit doctor at 11am but he went at 1pm.
Then doctor asked him to do blood test today only but he did it at next day. He was advised to take three doses of medicines daily but he took three doses some days and some other days he took one or two doses. Doctor had advised to take bed rest but still he went to play on ground.
Some more examples of frivolous :-
Talking on mobile phone while driving, travelling through train while standing in door, to give a look and smile to friend while attending the  discussion on important topic in classroom.
Heedless :-
not giving attention to a risk or possible difficulty:
showing a reckless, lack of care or attention.
Situation - Where patient know the consequences ( possible difficulties or risk ) still not paying attention, not caring of situation, neglecting the consequences.
Frivolous person not have that much deep thought or critical situation to realise about the consequences but where we are thinking of heedless the situation and consequences( risk or difficulties) of situation are clear still person purposely not paying attention or taking care of that.
Example 1 :
U turn of road, red arrow symbol on road indicating to slow the speed or symbol of speed breaker indicating to slow the speed still some one is not controlling the speed then he is heedless.
Danger, no sense of :-
Danger :- the possibility of suffering harm or injury.
Sense :- perceive by a sense or senses.
Though danger is there patient is unable to sense it .
Example :
Peoples doing careless fatal stunts on road (Standing on running bike, sleeping on running bike ) are typically fall in this category of no sense of danger.
A little son suffering from high grade fever still drunkard father not paying any attention to him.
Frivolous person has not serious thought or purpose, heedless person knowing risk but paying no attention while person who is going through danger but still not responding to it due to no sense of danger.
Here I give some examples together to get easy to differentiate in between above three rubrics.
Diabetic patient : eating sugar on and off : Frivolous.
Diabetic patient : formed ulcers on foot still not visiting to doctor : Heedless.
Diabetic patient - Diabetic foot converting into gangrene, physician warned to take proper treatment otherwise possibility of amputation still patient not taking treatment properly - No sense of danger.
Another Example :
Person standing close to railway track seeing here and there : Frivolous.
Person crossing railway track without paying attention on both sides of tracks though knowing crossing railway track without care is risky : Heedless.
Person crossing railway track though listening the alarm of the arrival of railway : No sense of danger.
Why above three rubrics looks similar ? As all three looks non serious but have different reasoning.
Frivolous - have not serious thought and intention.
Heedless - not paying attention or not taking care.
No sense of danger - not realising the danger.
